Building The Future

The Origin Story

Construction is one of the world’s oldest industries, yet it remains one of the least automated. Labor shortages, rising material costs, and inefficient processes continue to slow progress. While sectors like manufacturing and healthcare have embraced digital transformation, construction is still playing catch up. This gap is exactly why BCON was created.

My journey began with research on affordable housing at NIT Surat, followed by work on large-scale projects like the Statue of Unity. The deeper I got into the industry, the clearer it became: “We weren’t just dealing with inefficiencies, we were working with outdated systems that no longer met modern demands.” When the COVID-19 pandemic forced the world to pause, I saw an opportunity to rethink how we build.

BCON is not just about 3D printing. It’s about integrating automation, digital workflows, and sustainable materials  into construction. Our goal is simple: performance based building designs faster, more cost-effective, and environmentally responsible. But technology alone isn’t the answer. Construction is labor intensive, and fewer young workers are entering the field. We focus on up skilling, ensuring that traditional labourer’s transition into specialised, tech driven roles rather than being replaced by machines.

Globally, construction is at a turning point. The U.S., UAE, and China have already successfully built large-scale 3D-printed structures, proving its potential. Yet in India, adoption is still slow, held back by regulatory hurdles and skepticism. “We have the talent, the demand, and the need now, we need the vision to push forward.”

The future is clear: 3D printing will go from experimental to essential. We’ll see entire housing developments and infrastructure projects completed in half the time, with 60% less material waste. Customisation will no longer be expensive but standard. And most importantly, construction jobs won’t disappear they’ll evolve.

At BCON, we are not waiting for change. We are leading it. By combining architectural expertise with cutting-edge technology, we’re proving that smart, sustainable, and scalable construction is not just possible it’s necessary. The way we build is about to be transformed, and this is just the beginning.
